David Wilson has been working within the insurance industry for over 25 years. He has worked in a variety of roles and companies, giving him a vast knowledge of every aspect of general insurance.
Working in the underwriting department of a major insurer gave David a true understanding of risk. Degree of risk affects your policy’s premium and excess. Some risk can be managed away. The remaining risk needs to be covered in the most cost efficient way. David has the experience and skill work with you to accurately assess your risk and obtain the best policy that meets your demands and needs
5 years working in Loss Adjusting for major international firms gave David the expertise needed to settle a claim effectively. He understands people and the industry well. David’s aim will always be to work together with you and the insurers to minimize disruption to your business and obtain the most equitable settlement quickly and efficiently.
More recently David has worked as an Account Executive for local companies and a major national insurance brokerage arranging commercial insurance for a wide range of professions and industries. Understanding clients’ attitude to risk, helping find the most suitable policy to cover the remaining risk has been central to David’s working life for the past 10 years.

David is an Associate of the Chartered Insurance Institute and became a Chartered Insurance Broker in 1990. He works hard at continuing professional development to maintain his chartered status. In 2000 David was the President of the Insurance Institute of Chester and North Wales, a year long appointment. He has previously been Secretary of the Institute for many years.
